I've added iPhone 6 Plus (@3x scale) support to Cocos2D 2.1 and I want to share it to the community.
Just add [[CCFileUtils sharedFileUtils] setiPhoneRetinaHDDisplaySuffix:@"-retinahd"]; to set the suffix.
Personally I'm using -ipadhd assets.
[[CCFileUtils sharedFileUtils] setiPhoneRetinaHDDisplaySuffix:@"-retinahd"];
Here is my patch: http://pastebin.com/MNWmiVT2
Hope you enjoy,
Cool, I think I may end up adding an extra suffix option for the iPhone 6 also in my project. Even though it's @2x (retina not retina hd), since the screen is bigger I've noticed that certain resources need to be larger to take up more space.
Hmm I'm not too familiar with patching it with git.. how exactly do I use this in my project to patch it? I was expecting a new class, but this has a bunch of git commands in the file.
Just manually add lines with + and remove lines with - from the current file (+++).
You can find a guide here: https://www.drupal.org/node/534548
oh.. I thought there was an automagic way to apply the changes.. haha...
Haha . Yes, it would be possible if we had the same git repository.
